Pupils at St Mary's Catholic Primary School in Barnard Castle were delighted to welcome a special visitor when PC Preet spent time at the school to introduce himself and talk about his role in the local community.
The visit gave children the opportunity to learn more about how police officers help keep people safe and support communities every day.

During his visit, PC Preet spoke to pupils about the important work he carries out within the community and shared advice on how children can stay safe both at home and at school.

One of the highlights of the visit was the opportunity for some of the school's nursery children to try on PC Preet's police hat and jacket.
The experience sparked plenty of excitement and imagination, with some children already dreaming of becoming police officers themselves one day.
